GCSE Equivalence Testing
For entry onto the Graduate Teacher Programme, there is a statutory requirement that candidates must possess GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade “C” or above, or hold an equivalent qualification. For teaching in Primary Schools, candidates must also possess a GCSE (or equivalent) in a Science, also at Grade “C” or above. If a candidate does not possess one of these qualifications they may sit an Equivalence Test organised and marked by an approved organisation.
EM Direct has arranged with “Equivalency Testing for Careers in Teaching”, of Brentwood, Essex, www.equivalencytesting.com to undertake any tests required by our candidates.
“Equivalency Testing” provide equivalent GCSE testing for students who have not reached the standard grade in previous learning institutions.
- Testing is available in English, Mathematics and Science;
- They provide a flexible Home Study Course on each subject or exam only option;
- Exam papers can be sat at school or university;
- Exam results are issued within one to two weeks.
