GTP Secondary Priority Subjects - Places still available for 2010
EM Direct is holding a second round of applications and interviews for a few remaining secondary priority places, to start initial teacher training in September 2010. Please apply and send in all relevant documentation for the closing date of 31st March.

EM Direct GTP Consortium is a Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) Accredited Provider of Employment Based Initial Teacher Training.
We train teachers in our Consortium partner areas of Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, Barnsley, Leeds, Nottinghamshire, North Yorkshire, Hartlepool and City of York LAs, and the Crown Hills Secondary Schools Consortium (City of Leicester).
In addition, we are now able to accept applications to train in Secondary Schools in Leicestershire, Peterborough and Rutland.
- WE ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR THESE GTP PLACES FROM PEOPLE WHO WILL BE TRAINING IN SCHOOLS IN ONE OF THE ABOVE LISTED PARTNER LAS.
- WE ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR TRAINING IN SUPERNUMERARY POSTS (i.e. you must be employed by a school as an extra teacher - not covering a vacancy).
The TDA have made available approximately 4,500 funded GTP places so schools can employ and train a teacher.
To apply to train on the GTP with EM Direct, you will need to obtain both the Candidate Application Pack and the School Application Pack. These are both available by clicking the RESOURCES link at the top of this page and downloading ALL the documents.
WHEN TO APPLY
SEPTEMBER 2010 START
We are currently accepting applications for training places commencing September 2010. Application packs and our on line Prospectus are available to download
from this website or alternatively please contact the GTP department at gtp@emdirect.co.uk Our closing date for applications is 30th November 2009, with
interviews being held between 4th and 29th January 2010. As many of our applications will be made through our Consortium Partner Schools it is very
important that you carefully read through the information on how to apply.
If you are seeking to train outside our consortium areas, or are seeking a Training Grant only place, we recommend you contact other Employment Based Route (EBR) providers offering places in your locality. Details of other EBR Providers can be found on the TDA website at www.tda.gov.uk
