EXPERIENCE TEACHING – come on a TDA funded TASTER COURSE

Being a teacher is all about developing relationships with your pupils and inspiring them to learn. On a three day Taster Course you will talk to teachers, experience a one day school placement and discover what teaching today is really like. We’ll also tell you about different training routes (including how you can be paid while you train), the career structure and what you will be paid.

Taster courses are tailored to different subjects and age groups and are for people thinking about teaching

• a secondary priority subject (Mathematics, Science – especially Physics or Chemistry, Modern Foreign Languages, Deign Technology, ICT, Music or RE), or
• who are from groups currently under-represented in the teaching profession – e.g. men (especially in the primary sector), minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities.

Teaching is an important and increasingly popular choice of career for all kinds of people. Whatever your circumstances – if you're still at school, about to graduate, or looking for a change of direction – there are more ways to enter the profession than ever before.
