2 week Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course (1 unit)

This is a short intensive chemistry subject knowledge course for those about to embark on either a PGCE or a GTP programme starting in September 2012. It may also be suitable for those already teaching related subjects. This course lasts for 10 days and will take place in July/August 2012. The course is available to those whose ITT providers have judged that their chemistry subject knowledge needs refreshing to enable effective teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4. The course will aim to cover the main content areas of these Key Stages, with the intention of developing participants’ confidence and knowledge so that they will be able to teach topics up to and including GCSE A*.
