Project Management in Schools

The focal point of this workshop is to provide a good basic understanding of project management skills which might encourage individuals to progress to further study and gain a further qualification.

The workshop is targeted largely at existing or aspiring SBMs with little formal training in project management skills. It aims to:

• develop participants' knowledge and understanding of models of project management
• to develop participants' knowledge and understanding of common tools used in project management
• provide participants with an opportunity to apply project management skills to a case study scenario
• develop awareness of the challenges to successful project management and to provide strategies for responding to those challenges
• provide opportunities for participants to reflect upon their school's approach to project management and how this might be improved.
