The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the UK’s largest management body, combining industry-leading qualifications and specialist member services.

Our qualifications and membership services combine to drive up the standards of leadership and management and improve individual and team performance.

There is no academic prerequisite for the Level 3 and 5 VRQ Diploma in Leadership and Management, although it is expected that learners will have at least level 2 literacy skills. The level 3 qualification is designed for those in first line management or leadership roles. Anyone in a leadership and management role, or wishing to develop their practice in these areas would find this qualification of use. The level 5 qualification is designed to give practising managers a solid foundation for their formal development in this role, building up a wide range of basic middle management skills.

Anyone studying for an ILM qualification receives six months' trial membership of ILM, giving them access to a range of resources and services designed to support learning and development.
