Coaching and Mentoring

The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the UK’s largest management body, combining industry-leading qualifications and specialist member services.

ILM is founded on the principle that skilled managers and leaders hold the key to creating productive workforces that deliver organisational and economic success. Our qualifications and membership services combine to drive up the standards of leadership and management and improve individual and team performance.

Last year 90,000 people enhanced their leadership and management skills with an ILM qualification, while over 30,000 ambitious management professionals secured increased professional recognition and support through ILM membership.

There are no academic prerequisites for these programmes, although it is expected that learners will have at least level 2 literacy skills. These level 3 qualifications are designed for those in first line management or leadership roles.

Coaching and Mentoring qualifications currently available are:

Certificate in Workplace Coaching and Mentoring
Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers
Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches
Award in Workplace Mentoring
Certificate in Workplace Mentoring

As providers of government funded programmes EM Direct are aware that many practitioners would like to enhance their awards with qualifications that are recognised as part of the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF). We are therefore pleased to be able to offer ILM Level 3 National Vocational Qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring as part of our portfolio.
