In today’s schools, the role of the School Business Manager (SBM) is pivotal. In many schools SBMs are part of the School Leadership Team. Responsibilities are many and varied and include HR, Finance, Health and Safety and Premises to mention a few. If this role interests you then try sampling one of the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) SBM elective workshops. These are one day workshops dealing with aspects of the work of an SBM. Follow the link to our SBM pages to find out more – when and where these are taking place and the cost.
If you want to undertake a formal qualification to become an SBM, you can apply to take the Certificate in School Business Management, or Diploma in School Business Management. Visit the NCSL web site to find out more.
The role of SBM is open to Graduates and Non Graduates.
