Courses
EM Centre recognises that participation in a one-day or two-day course can still be the most appropriate way to meet one’s learning needs and we are pleased to present our 2009/2010 Courses and Consultancy Programme. Our consultants and tutors are carefully selected from a broad range of areas of professional expertise, and seek to:
- Set up appropriate activities which address clearly defined learning objectives
- Steer the learning whilst capitalising on learners’ experiences
- Facilitate the active participation of all delegates
- Respond to individual learners’ needs
- Promote reflection on one’s own professional practice
- Focus on the impact of the learning, leading to realistic action planning
As a course forms an integral part of an individual’s professional development, which may link with their Performance Management, the summative evaluation addresses the steps to be taken and the intended impact of the learning which has taken place.

All courses are run at the EM Centre for Learning in Grantham, but where a school would like a whole staff training session, most courses can also be delivered at your school, by arrangement.
