Welcome to EM Direct
Established in 1997, the EM Direct Group has established an excellent reputation as an independent provider of high quality training and assessment in the areas of initial teacher training, continuing professional development for the school workforce, and child care in the early years. Our headquarters are located in Grantham, Lincolnshire, from where we offer an extensive range of high quality training programmes delivered across a wide area of the country.
As a Training and Development Agency for schools (TDA) Accredited ITT Provider, and a Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) Training Provider, we train and assess for professional status in primary and secondary schools and Early Years settings:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
In addition to our Government Contracts, we also provide services direct to schools, local authorities, individual teachers, teaching assistants and child care professionals, and are a Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Preferred Supplier to support Service Leavers in finding a new career in education or child care. Our headquarters is also home to a Professional Training and Conference Centre available to hire by organisations delivering training to their own staff.
EM Training
leads the Group in delivering all TDA contracts, including the Graduate Teacher Programme, HLTA Training, HLTA Assessment, Student Associate Scheme, Subject Knowledge Enhancement, Mathematics Development Programme, Return to Teaching and Taster Courses.
EM Centre
is the professional development division of the EM Direct Group. Committed to enhancing and developing the skills of the schools’ workforce, course, consultancy services and facilities, local authorities and training professionals that meet today’s demands for high quality training.
EM Orbital
is EM Direct's bespoke e-learning facility supporting trainees and participants on various training programmes delivered by the Group.
EM Early Years
is contracted by the CWDC to provide all 4 pathways of training and assessment for Early Years Professional Status in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber Regions.
EM Centre For Learning
is EM Direct’s dedicated training centre used by trainees and those seeking a professional training and conference venue for their own training and courses.
